Mercmaster™ LED Series is now ATEX/IECEx Certified

Posted in: Product News on June 6th, 2013

Appleton, one of the world’s leading manufacturers  of electrical products for  hazardous industrial locations, today announced that its Mercmaster™ LED  series, the most efficient and advanced line of LED fixtures for industrial and hazardous environments, is now approved for use in  ATEX/IECEx hazardous locations. Compliant with worldwide safety standards, the Mercmaster LED brings advantages to customers that include: lower weight, greater shock resistance, cold start capabilities, and minimal heat production, along with outstanding energy-efficiency.

Appleton introduced the original Mercmaster LED fixture almost three years ago, bringing its energy-saving benefits to customers worldwide.  Now, the Mercmaster  LED carries all required  safety certification for global use, meaning that electricians  working in nearly any hazardous environment around the world can benefit from its flexible, modular design in retrofits and plant expansions.

Mercmaster LED fixtures feature a single-piece, lightweight aluminum body that accommodates upgraded LED arrays generating light outputs from 2,300 to 6,075 lumens, an equivalent of 70W HID to 175W HID lamps.
